Our History

WHO WE ARE

Welcome to Emgodini Academy, a company dedicated to providing quality safety training for employees in the mining and workshop industries. Established in 2016 as the training department for Underground Support Solutions, Emgodini Academy was founded by CEO Johan Botha, who has over 50 years of experience in mining.

After successfully negotiating a Service Level Agreement with 3-Way Consulting, an accredited training institution, Emgodini Academy started in-house training for company employees in 2018, offering First Aid Levels 1 and 3, SLAM training, and a SHE Representative course. In 2017, Emgodini Solutions (Pty) Ltd was registered, and the company now trades as Emgodini Academy.

Our courses are tailored to individual needs through Psychometric Evaluation, and our experienced facilitators provide mindful facilitation to improve skill and development.

We are proud to be accredited and to be recognized by SETA and the DMRE, offering courses such as Safety Officer, Basic Fire Fighting, Working at Height, and Legal Liability. We are constantly expanding our scope of training through negotiations with accredited institutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
