UNDERGROUND BLASTING PREPARATION

Duration: 312 Shifts

After completion of the required 75 shifts prior to DMRE Blasting Board Examination, this programme prepares the learner miner for the Board Examination.

After the examination the learner will be issued with a Provisional DMRE Blasting Ticket for Underground fiery mines. The learner will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of Underground fiery mines drilling, blasting and mechanical mining operations.

Upon completion of 312 shifts the learner will be issued with a Permanent Underground fiery mines Blasting Ticket.

The programme duration is 312 shifts.

  • All learners that meet DMRE qualifying requirements are eligible.
  • The learner will learn all Underground fiery mines operations.
  • This training includes all learning material, theoretical and practical training.

OPENCAST BLASTING PREPARATION

Duration: 400 Shifts

After completion of the required 60 shifts prior to DMRE Blasting Board Examination, this programme prepares the learner opencast blasters for the Board Examination.

After the examination the learner will be issued with a Provisional DMRE Blasting Ticket for Opencast Mines. The learner will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of Opencast Blasting.

Upon completion of 400 shifts the learner will be issued with a Permanent Opencast Blasting Ticket.

The programme duration is 400 shifts.

  • All learners that meet DMRE qualifying requirements, are eligible.

  • This training includes all learning material, theoretical and practical training.

  • The learner will learn all Opencast Drill and Blast operations.
